Today is always a very sobering day. It encourages us to reflect on how far we've come and provides a blueprint for how far we still need to go. During these last few months, political and personal conversations have been divisive, language has been careless, people have been called untruthful names, groups have been targeted, and love has been pushed aside to be replaced with debate.
Today, let's focus on KINDNESS. Let's focus on PRAYER. Too many times we have been sucked into defending ourselves while forgetting that we are all in this world together. KAE's mission has always been to promote the message of "KINDNESS ABOVE EVERYTHING", regardless of race, religion, political affiliation, culture, opinions, etc.
However, in order to be begin our bold pursuit, we needed to know that it was an option. We had to see moments where this was executed in order to create our own vision with similar motives. #MartinLutherKingJr is one of our examples. He believed in promoting peace and equality at a time when many would have justified division and hatred.
Our vision is to instill our message into every person. To teach others to lead with kindness, especially when it seems to be most difficult. Kindness doesn't mean backing down or letting others hurt you. It means making decisions with other people's feelings in mind. It means to treat others the way you'd like to be treated. It means taking the meaning of today with you into tomorrow and everyday after. It means delivering your opinion and way of life with tact, love and grace.
